What is People Services?
People Services is a not-for-profit private organization that provides a very wide range of services and support for persons with developmental disabilities. These services can include individual and group services and support. Services can range from personal life choices to vocational support, respite services, recreation, and much more. People Services is primarily funded by the State of California through the Redwood Coast Regional Center and the Department of Rehabilitation. Because People Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization, it also relies on funds received through its annual fundraisers, grants, and donation campaigns.
How is People Services funded?

If you qualify for services through the Redwood Coast Regional Center, you can receive services and support from People Services.
As described above, there are many services and supports you can choose from. Just click on the services page to view the services offered. From there you can choose a service, and then contact the director of the service(s) you are most interested in.

How do I apply for services and support form People Services?
You should contact the Redwood Coast Regional Center or the Department of Rehabilitation. If you do not qualify through either agency and can afford to pay the rate for the program of your choice, you can contact us.

If I choose to attend a People Services program, what is my commitment?
Your commitment to participation in each program can vary significantly. Some programs will require attendance Monday through Friday, while others can be part-time and very flexible. People Services is committed to providing services to meet your individual needs. Please contact the director of the program you are interested in. They will explain, not only the level of commitment required but how you will benefit from the choices you make.
How can I help?
A charitable donation can be made in your name. You can donate a service, time, money, or even your old belongings. For more information about charitable donations, contact us, click on the donate button, or come down to our office, at 4195 Lakeshore Blvd, Lakeport, CA. Documentation is available for tax purposes upon request.
