For all individuals, education provides an avenue for growth and development. Social-Sexual Educational Opportunities (SSEO) offers consumers the chance to learn more about themselves and others and encourage confidence and competence in the field of personal and social relationships. -
Personal Safety Training
People Services provides six hours of class time focusing on personal safety. This class focuses on personal safety in your relationships. It teaches how to identify unsafe situations, and how to avoid them. This class teaches that there are all kinds of relationships and how we should respond to each type. This class also focuses on abuse, and the different types of abuse (e.g. physical; financial; emotional; etc.), personal space, and an individual’s right to say no.

Court Competency Training
Court Competency Training provides one to one training in the Lake County jail, or other sites deemed appropriate for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities who have been arrested and charged with a crime to see if they can become competent to stand trial.
