Social/Sexual Educational Opportunities
Do you want to feel safe?
Do you want to learn more about relationships?
For all individuals, education provides an avenue for growth and development. Social-Sexual Educational Opportunities (SSEO) offers consumers the chance to learn more about themselves and others and encourage confidence and competence in the field of personal and social relationships.
In one-on-one or small group classes, SSEO facilitators seek to engage participants in discussions on a wide variety of topics, including different kinds of relationships, appropriate social and sexual behavior, and personal safety in relationships.
In addition to the core classes, SSEO has expanded to include Anger Management. In Anger Management classes, participants learn about the causes of anger, how to relax and think calmly, and how to solve problems positively.
Court competency training is an individualized training service for individuals who are facing legal issues and who need to become “competent to stand trial.” This service is provided upon referral from the Redwood Coast Regional Center and is performed under the direction of a clinical psychologist.
Knowledge and understanding help form the foundation for a successful and meaningful life. Social-Sexual Educational Opportunities is one step toward achieving this goal.
